Job Description
The Sunway University Business School – Department of Management is seeking qualified academic staff members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars.
- Conduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops & field excursions.
- Consultation with and supervision of students.
- Supervision of student projects or research work.
- Marking and assessment of student work, assignments, projects, tests and examinations.
- Preparing, reviewing and moderating examination questions and marking answer scripts.
- Development of subject teaching materials for the subjects the academic teaches.
- Production of learning materials for students in the subjects the academic teaches.
- Subject coordination duties.
- The conduct of research and contribution to publications.
- Involvement in professional activities in the University/ community.
- Performing extra-curricular activities, including counselling of students and promoting/ marketing of programmes.
- Administrative and academic functions, especially those connected with subjects in the discipline or related disciplines the academic teaches e.g. attendances, invigilation, subject examinations, course evaluation and quality issues.
- Membership of various committees and attending meetings.
- Leadership role in educational activities in their academic Department/ Centre.
Requirements:
- A PhD holder or in end stage of PhD conferment (VIVA), or successful in proposal defence.
- Preferable relevant degree(s) in Business/Management/Human Resource Management/Marketing/Logistic Supply Chain/Entrepreneurship.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching or tutoring experiences for Lecturer position / Minimum of 5 years teaching or tutoring experiences for Senior Lecturer position in the field of business management or entrepreneurship, or operation management, or international business.
- Added advantage if candidate have Scopus publication, or
- Relevant professional qualifications with 5 or more years of professional experience at senior level.
