Job Description

Job Title: On campus Mentor at Wawasan Open University, 54, Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, 10050 Penang

Scope of Job: Support students for all subject related queries in Web Development, System Management or Digital Business

Starts Class from 2nd week of May 2021, must be available 8 hrs a day on the campus 

1.Web Development

Education: Masters or bachelor’s in IT, specialization in Web Development

Experience: 3 years of industry experience as Full-Stack Web Developer or Software Engineer using Java

Key Requirements: Exposure to Software Development Life Cycles, Web Application Design and Development tools and technologies. Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, MySQL, MongoDB, Struts, Spring. Knowledgeable in Spring Boot, API development, Web Hooks

Role and Responsibilities:

·        Go through the LMS and get familiar with the course beforehand.

·         Support students during e-learning, assignment, and project sessions either through online and /or face to face

·        Review and grade all submitted assignments.

·        Support students in developing the websites, database design and development using appropriate tools and techniques.

·        Support students for all subject related queries and make them ready for the course assessment.

2. System Management

Education: Masters or bachelor’s in IT

Experience: 3 years of industry experience as IT System Administration

Key Requirements: Experience in Information Technology MS Windows Server 2012 or 2016 Administration. Exposure to MS Windows 10 Desktop Deployment and Maintenance. Experience in Routing Configuration, Switch Configuration, and IP Network configuration. Knowledge on ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Power Platform

Role and Responsibilities:

·        Go through the LMS and get familiar with the course beforehand.

·         Support students during e-learning, assignment, and project sessions either through online and /or face to face

·        Review and grade all submitted assignments.

·        Support students in developing the websites, database design and development using appropriate tools and techniques.

·        Support students for all subject related queries and make them ready for the course assessment.

3.Digital Business

Education: Masters or bachelor’s in business, specialization in Marketing

Experience: 3 years of industry experience as digital marketer or digital business developer

Key Requirements: Exposure to planning and executing digital campaigns. Familiar with digital advertising tools. Exposure to developing and optimizing landing pages.Knowledge of digital analytics platforms. *Experience with startups will be an add-on

Role and Responsibilities:

·        Go through the LMS and get familiar with the course beforehand

·         Support students during e-learning, assignment, and project sessions either through online and /or face to face

·        Review and grade all submitted assignments

·        Support students in using digital advertising tools like Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.

·        Support students in developing and optimizing landing pages

·        Support students for all subject related queries and make them ready for the course assessment
