Job Description
The Role
To further enhance its teaching, learning and research mission, and to accelerate its academic development, Sunway University is now recruiting academic staff of the highest calibre to expand its Department of Psychology. The Department of Psychology offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees (see https://university.sunway.edu.my/sci/bsc-psychology, https://university.sunway.edu.my/sci/psych-msc , and https://university.sunway.edu.my/sci/psych-phd). This is a position of a high importance within the School of Medical and Life Sciences reporting to the Head of Department of Psychology. The Senior Lecturer will provide expertise, experience, and academic teaching and research.
Qualification and Skill
We are seeking outstanding applicants to contribute to research and teaching in the areas of research methods, psychological testing, biological psychology, cognitive psychology and industrial/organisational psychology. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Psychology. Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise effectively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels is required. Candidates should have a sound record of research and scholarship, a clear research strategy and a demonstrated capacity to contribute to multidisciplinary projects. The specific areas of research interest are open, but preference may be given to candidates who have experience in EEG machines and eye-tracker devices (for the cognitive psychology position); or mental health and well-being research (for the clinical/counselling psychology position).
