Job Description
SUNWAY UNIVERSITY SDN BHD welcomes interested candidates to submit their resume for the above stated vacancy with the following job specifications
Responsibilities:
- To carry out research and produce publications, or other research outputs, in line with personal objectives agreed with the Head of Department (HOD).
- To teach at undergraduate and graduate level in areas allocated by the HOD.
- To supervise undergraduate, taught graduate or research graduate students.
- To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
- To develop learning materials and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
- To contribute to the setting, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
- To provide pastoral care and support to students.
- To undertake administrative and leadership duties as required by the HOD.
- To maintain own continuing professional development.
- To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.
Requirements:
- Possess a PhD qualification in or related to the area of Data Analytics/Cybersecurity.
- Leadership, coordination and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Experience in blended learning and flipped classroom is required.
- Expertise related to topics such as:
- Data Mining, Machine Learning, Big Data, Analytics Software and Systems, Cloud Analytics solutions such as Hadoop, Visualization, Statistics or related areas is required. Experience with SAS, R, Tableau or equivalent would have an added advantage.
- Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, Forensic Investigation, Encryption, Computer Security, Network Security, Security Operations Centre. Active certification such as CEH, CHFI or equivalent would have an added advantage.
