Job Description
Summary
- Identify the most suitable books to display, promote and market at BookXcess bookshops and at BookXcess Online and Big Bad Wolf Online Book Sales.
- Assist the Purchasing team to acquire sufficient books for Big Bad Wolf and BookXcess, and ensure that those books are distributed and sold effectively.
Job Description
- Select suitable books for display and promotion.
- Oversee merchandising of books at BookXcess stores nationwide.
- Assist with curation and merchandising of books online.
- Work closely with Retail, Marketing, Online, and Purchasing Departments.
- Support Purchasing Department with purchasing, pricing, allocation, updating databases, and responding to queries.
- Develop a firm understanding of sales data.
- Complete and issue necessary documentation.
- Keep abreast of publishing trends and popular culture.
- Undertake any other task/job/project assigned by superior.
Skills Required
- Passionate about books
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Able to travel to BookXcess stores nationwide
