Job Description
- To carry out research, teaching and administration within the school/department scope
- To teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses delivered by the Department and, as required, to teach on associated programmes offered by the university
- To assist in the development of learning materials, schemes of work as well as monitor student progress, achievement and attendance
- To supervise student projects and assist them in understanding assignment requirements
- To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments
- Offer Microcredential courses to adult learners or high school students
- Provide feedback to students on their learning through student consultations
- Publish papers and present papers at local and international conferences
- Other duties within the Department and University as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates with doctorate degree (PhD) in Psychology, Counselling, Clinical Psychology or relevant dicipline
- Master's degree in the above mentioned field/area will be considered
- A minimum of 7 years teaching experience in a tertiary environment
- Record of successful supervision of postgraduate research students will be an added advantage
- Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
OTHER JOB-RELATED INFORMATION
- Able to undertake duties at different University campuses as required
- Expected to work outside of normal office hours (including evenings, weekends and public holidays), if required
- Academic staff are expected to engage in activities associated with social media and marketing campaigns
